The court sentenced a Crimean man for publishing Nazi symbols on a social network

The Kirovsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced a 53-year-old resident of the Kirovsky district to 2 years in prison for the public display of Nazi symbols, the public display of which is prohibited by federal laws, if these acts were committed by a person subject to administrative punishment for any of the administrative offenses provided for in Article 20.3 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
He will serve his sentence in a maximum security colony due to the presence of a relapse. The court found that in January 2023, a local resident, having been subjected to administrative punishment for an administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, posted 8 images on his social network account that were a Nazi symbol— reported the press service of the court.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges in full at the court hearing.
The verdict did not enter into legal force.
