Former Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Yevgeny Kabanov, ex-Minister of Construction Mikhail Khramov and businessman and general director of one of the construction companies Roman Zhuravlev were found guilty of fraud committed by a group of persons on an especially large scale. Punishment — heavy fines and suspended sentences.

Kabanova Yevgeny Konstantinovich found guilty of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Impose a sentence — 4 years in prison with a fine of 200 thousand rubles. According to part 1. Art. 73. The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation considers the imposed basic punishment in the form of 4 years of imprisonment as suspended. Set a trial period of 2 years— the press service of the Central District Court of Simferopol reports.

Mikhail Khramov and Roman Zhuravlev were sentenced to three years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period and a fine of 150,000 rubles.

The defendants in the case were detained in September 2021 as part of an investigation into a criminal case on embezzlement of 57.5 million budget funds during the construction of a water pipeline, which is the object of the Federal Target Program for the Development of Crimea and Sevastopol.
