The court sentenced former Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Yevgeny Kabanov. Still guilty

Former Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Yevgeny Kabanov, ex-Minister of Construction Mikhail Khramov and businessman and general director of one of the construction companies Roman Zhuravlev were found guilty of fraud committed by a group of persons on an especially large scale. Punishment — heavy fines and suspended sentences.

Kabanova Yevgeny Konstantinovich found guilty of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Impose a sentence — 4 years in prison with a fine of 200 thousand rubles. According to part 1. Art. 73. The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation considers the imposed basic punishment in the form of 4 years of imprisonment as suspended. Set a trial period of 2 years— the press service of the Central District Court of Simferopol reports.

Mikhail Khramov and Roman Zhuravlev were sentenced to three years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period and a fine of 150,000 rubles.

The defendants in the case were detained in September 2021 as part of an investigation into a criminal case on embezzlement of 57.5 million budget funds during the construction of a water pipeline, which is the object of the Federal Target Program for the Development of Crimea and Sevastopol. The criminal case was initiated under s.4 art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale”). About this case — HERE.
