The court toughened the punishment for three bandits guilty of robbing a pawnshop in the village of Primorsky
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The prosecutor’s office insisted!
The Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea considered a criminal case against three residents of the region. In November last year, the Feodosia City Court found them guilty under paragraph “b” of Part 3 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy). More details — HERE.
It was established that those convicted in 2022 agreed to commit a robbery together. To do this, having distributed roles among themselves, they arrived in a Lada car rented in advance to the pawnshop building in the village of Primorsky. After two of the intruders entered the premises, one of them held down a pawnshop employee, who dropped a bunch of keys on the floor.
The second defendant opened the front door to the room where there was a safe with cash and jewelry, from which he stole more than 187 thousand rubles and a polymer container with jewelry worth 2.7 million rubles. The third defendant was waiting for his accomplices in the car. The men fled the scene of the crime with the kidnapped person.— reported the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.
The bandits were quickly detained by internal affairs officers. The city court sentenced one of the men to 4 years 6 months, and two more to 4 years 1 month of imprisonment in a maximum security correctional colony.
The prosecutor’s office did not agree with the imposed punishment, considering it too lenient.
The appellate court agreed with the prosecutor’s arguments, increasing the sentence of one of the convicts to 6 years and 6 months, and the other two to 6 years and 1 month of imprisonment.
