The crime rate among migrants in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol was reduced by 20% by the results of 2024. This was announced at the press conference by the head of the regional headquarters of the SK Vladimir Terentyev.

On our initiative, a ban on the work of foreigners in the fields of crop production, livestock, mining, mineral production, food production, energy, trade, and total in 35 areas of the economy has been introduced on the peninsula. Tighten throughput at the border. As for the investigative work, we opened 31 criminal cases against foreign citizens, 36 were sent to the court. Three cases were transferred to the court against officials who indulged illegal migration. The level of migrant crime in the past year decreased by 20% and has further tendencies to reduce— quoted TASS Vladimir Terentyev.

Terentyev noted that in the work of the UK, Internet communication channels with citizens are significantly helped: social networks, hot telephone lines, as well as information from the media. The management has significantly increased the number of personal receptions of citizens.

In April 2024, the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov signed a decree on the ban on reception of migrants for 35 types of economic activity. Then Aksenov explained that he considers the uncontrolled finding of labor migrants on the territory of the republic and the country as a whole unacceptable. Later, the decree was extended for 2025.
