The Crimean branch of the Russian Geographical Society invites you to study

The Crimean branch of the Russian Geographical Society, together with the Youth Club of the Russian Geographical Society «Crimea», invites young people from 18 to 35 years old to undergo a training program and improve their level of knowledge on environmental education, media volunteering in protected areas and self-development. The program will take place within the framework of the project “Ecological Media Expedition “Wild Crimea”, supported by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
Anyone between the ages of 18 and 35 who is interested in nature protection, creating professional content to highlight the activities of protected areas and environmental education, as well as organizing eco-tourism can become participants in the program.
As part of the educational program, participants will take a course of 14 lectures and practical classes in the following areas:
- history of conservation in the Republic of Crimea and the Russian Federation;
- the nature and uniqueness of specially protected natural areas of the Crimean Peninsula, their problems and solutions;
- basics of creating photo and video content in protected areas;
- public speaking and self-development.
The training program will be held from November 11 to November 24, 2024 in a remote format on the MTS.Link platform.

A detailed schedule of classes, information about the speakers and the topics of their speeches will be sent to participants after registration, and also published in the group of the Crimean branch of the Russian Geographical Society (https://vk.com/crimea_rgo).
As part of the project “Ecological Media Expedition “Protected Crimea”, 12 media expeditions are planned to be carried out in specially protected and remote areas of the Crimean Peninsula. Participants who have completed the educational program will be able to take part in media expeditions without competitive selection as media curators, where they will apply the acquired knowledge in practice and share it with participants in media expeditions.
Ecological media expedition “Reserved Crimea” is a project aimed at popularizing environmental activities and media volunteering among young people in specially protected natural areas of the Crimean Peninsula. The peculiarity of this project is the development of a new direction of intellectual volunteering — media expeditions to protected areas, as a result of which high-quality photo and video content will be created, forming a positive image of the region, increasing the level of environmental awareness and demonstrating the importance of caring for the nature of the Crimean Peninsula.
