The Crimean delegation takes part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The delegation of the Republic of Crimea led by the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov takes part in the XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
During the event, it is planned to sign a number of memorandums on the implementation of investment agreements, as well as the conclusion of cooperation agreements with the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the economy, trade, science, healthcare, investment activities and other areas.
According to Vladimir Konstantinov, holding an economic forum during a special military operation is of particular importance, not to mention the traditional practical results of the event.
Today it is important to show that in this difficult, critical period, our country sees the trajectory of further development. There are many questions for discussion. To a certain extent, we found ourselves at a crossroads, we realized that the West no longer exists for us. And now we, first of all, need to get rid of dependence on it, including at the mental level. Our cultural, political, economic elite was dependent on them. Now it is obvious to everyone that this period is over, but where to move on is unknown.— said the head of the Crimean parliament.
Vladimir Konstantinov noted that the accession of new subjects to Russia provides opportunities for restructuring the economic system of the south of the country.
I am convinced that Crimea, after the end of the Special Operation, will receive many interesting areas for development— stressed the chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea.
According to SPIEF organizers, in 2023 more than 17,000 people from 130 countries and territories will take part in the event.
