The Crimean Literary and Art Museum invites you to the Christmas holidays

The Crimean Literary and Art Memorial Museum-Reserve invites residents and guests of the peninsula to the New Year and Christmas holidays. Guests can plan visits to the House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov in Yalta, the “Chekhov and Crimea” museum, as well as at A.P. Dacha. Chekhov and O.L. Knipper in Gurzuf.
At the House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov in Yalta on January 5 at 16:00 there will be a festive concert “Christmas Meetings” with the participation of the laureate of international competitions, member of the Union of Concert Artists of the Russian Federation Oksana Senchina and virtuoso guitarist Dmitry Starov. Also on January 6 at 14:00, participants in the “Winter Yalta” Art Song Festival in memory of mountain rescuer Artur Grigoryan will perform their compositions. Admission to the concerts is free.
In January, visitors will also be treated to temporary thematic exhibitions, the display of which has been extended due to great public interest. At the Belaya Dacha there is an exhibition “There is no better place on earth than our garden…”, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the creation of the play “The Cherry Orchard” and the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Moscow Art Theater.
In addition, the exhibition “Cool Lady M.P.” continues to operate in the Yalta Museum of the Writer. Chekhov» — you can see Maria Pavlovna’s pioneer tie, writing instruments, numerous awards and thanks, photographs and much morereports the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
At the same time, guests will be able to take part in the “Congratulations from Chekhov” event — in a special box, museum staff have collected original excerpts from the classic’s New Year’s and Christmas correspondence, and everyone will be able to randomly draw out their “Chekhov’s” wish.
The “Chekhov and Crimea” department will surprise you with unique photographs and personal belongings of Anton Chekhov, archival documents and rare publications. These and many other items can be seen in January at the exhibition “Admiring them is a sign of good taste.”
In Gurzuf at Dacha A.P. Chekhov and O.L. Knipper visitors will be able to learn about the life of Olga Knipper-Chekhova and her immediate circle in the Gurzuf house in the 30s of the 20th century. And, as before, everyone will enjoy fascinating excursions dedicated to the life and work of the great playwright Anton Chekhov.
