The Crimean Literary and Art Museum-Reserve donated exhibits to the Simferopol Lyceum

The educational institution opened an office dedicated to the life and work of A.P. Chekhov
As part of its curatorial activities, the Crimean Literary and Art Memorial Museum-Reserve handed over dummies, duplicates, copies of photographs and documents to the Simferopol Lyceum of the Crimean Spring to create an exposition of the school museum for permanent use.
As reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, among the exhibits are portraits of the Chekhov family, photographs of the interiors of the places where the writer lived in Crimea, his surroundings, as well as individual printed publications characterizing the life and work of the playwright.
Earlier, the director of the lyceum, Natalya Goncharova, contacted the museum with a request for assistance in decorating one of the classrooms of the educational institution, dedicating it to the life and work of A.P. Chekhov. The staff of the Republican Museum supported the idea with confidence that the founding of a school museum could shed new light on the life and work of the great playwright for the younger generation.
As part of the meeting, the museum staff invited the children and teachers of the lyceum to visit the famous White Dacha of the writer in Yalta, A.P. Dacha. Chekhov and O.L. Knipper in Gurzuf, Museum “Chekhov and Crimea”, located in the house of General Capitolina Ilovaiskaya, with the very beautiful name “Omyur” (translated as life), where the writer lived before the construction of his own housereports the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
