The Crimean paid for the drink with his rare Volvo. Not himself, of course, according to the court
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the Belogorsk region, a local resident’s car was confiscated for driving while intoxicated. According to the court, the Crimean citizen was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a person in a state of intoxication who was previously brought to administrative responsibility for a similar act).
The court found that the man, having been brought to administrative responsibility for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, began driving a Volvo 340 in early June of this year after drinking alcohol. Moving along the Tavrida highway near the village of Zuya, the attacker was stopped by traffic police officials— said the prosecutor’s office.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 160 hours of compulsory labor with deprivation of the right to drive all types of vehicles for a period of 1 year and 6 months. The Volvo 340 car belonging to the convicted person was confiscated to the state.
