The Crimean parliament supported an increase in the number of grants to sports federations

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Deputies supported an increase to three in the number of annual grants awarded by the State Council of the Republic of Crimea to regional sports federations and structural divisions (regional branches) of all-Russian sports federations operating on the territory of the peninsula.

Since 2016, two such annual grants in the amount of 500 thousand rubles each have been established, which are a form of stimulation of sports in the region. They are appointed to purchase sports and technological equipment, inventory and equipment, as well as other equipment for sports, competitive and coaching activities.

The systematic work carried out in the Republic of Crimea in recent years to create a modern sports infrastructure that meets all the requirements has made it possible to develop 21 basic sports — 13 Olympic, one Paralympic and seven other sports. In addition, starting from 2023, the list of federations in Crimea is actively expanding, developing sports aimed, among other things, at supporting participants in a special military operation, in particular drone racing, sports for people with musculoskeletal disabilities, and ultralight aviation sports.— reported in the Crimean parliament.

Additional funds for the above purposes will be provided by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea when preparing amendments to the republican budget.
