An investigative team, together with employees of the criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Simferopol region, immediately arrived at the place of residence of the missing woman. As a result of operational search activities, a suspect was identified — the 43-year-old son of the missing woman, who had previously been convicted several times. When interviewed by police officers, the man was confused in his testimony, and his alibi was not confirmed. In this connection, the police decided to involve employees of the canine service and the forensic center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Crimea in operational search activities. A service dog picked up the trail of the missing person and led police officers to a lake at a distance of 150 meters from the wanted person’s place of residence, as a result of which the body of a citizen was discovered in the reeds— the details of the case were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.

Forensic experts, during a thorough examination of the home, discovered traces of blood in the hallway.

The suspect confessed to his crime. According to him, a few days ago, while intoxicated, he killed his mother, accusing her of missing money in the amount of 10 thousand rubles, after which he threw the woman’s body into a lake not far from the house.

The materials collected by the operatives were transferred to the investigative authorities.
