The Crimean project “Gost -Propeling Class” won the Government Prize in the field

On January 28, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko awarded the team of the Academy of Hospital of the resort «Mriya», for the educational project «Gosten class». The prize was awarded for creating conditions for successful career guidance of youth, the formation of a philosophy of hospitality as a way of thinking through the involvement of the hotel industry in the profession.

The award is held as part of the national project «Tourism and hospitality». The list of winners was approved by order of the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The award winners were the authors of 10 successful projects who contributed to the development of the Russian hospitality industry. Among them are initiatives to create new tourist facilities, innovative digital solutions, training programs, the popularization of event tourism, as well as the development of tourist products available to everyone, including people with disabilities.

The project “Hospital class” in Crimea is aimed at creating conditions for successful socialization and professional self -determination of adolescents. The project program consists of 9 modules, each of which is devoted to a separate area in the field of hospitality and professions in this area. According to employees of the training center of the Academy of hospitality, the start of the project was given in 2022, then they created a profile class with disciplines related to the sphere of hospitality and tourism. The undertaking was supported by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Crimea and the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea. Along with practice at the facilities of the hospitality and tourism of Crimea, the project forms the national value of the hospitality of the region and the country, motivates the choice of demanded professions and affects the reduction of personnel hunger.

For two years, five educational institutions of the region joined the project, experts of the Academy of Hospital held four “hospitality classes” for 123 children. Along with this, the express program “Learning to dream” was implemented for 2 thousand schoolchildren. According to the training center, 70% of the studied children want to connect life with the hospitality industry. In addition to schoolchildren, 240 teachers from all over Russia participated in the project, they attended the lessons of the “Class of hospitality” and thematic internships. Mentors also conducted 37 classes for 120 small pupils of preschool institutions.

As noted Natalya Vistunova, Deputy General Director for Strategic Development of the Mriya resort, a prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of tourism is not only a recognition, but also the result of a large work of the resort team on the development of the personnel potential of the hospitality industry. Other industry facilities are invited to the project in order to turn the Russian service into an international brand.

The winners of the award receive a cash prize — 1 million rubles. In 2024, 88 projects were submitted for consideration by the Council for Awarding.

Currently, applications are being accepted for the prize of the Russian government in the field of tourism 2025. Projects nominated for the prize should be implemented in practice at least a year before the start of receiving applications. Work is accepted until March 1, 2025.
