The identity of the unfortunate driver who escaped from the scene of the accident has been established.

The Crimean Prosecutor’s Office took control of the investigation of the criminal case initiated under paragraph “b” of Part 6 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the fact of a traffic accident in the Simferopol region. About this accident, in which 2 people died and three more were hospitalized — HERE.

The court found that on the night of October 5, 2023, the driver of a Skoda car, moving along the Dubki-Levadki highway at a significant excess of the permitted speed, lost control and drove off the roadway, where the car overturned. In addition to the driver, there were five more people in the car, two of whom died at the scene from their injuries, the rest suffered injuries.
