The Crimean Safari Park «Taigan» has received a new addition — five rare white Bengal tigers have arrived

Five rare white Bengal tigers moved permanently to the Crimean safari park «Taigan» from private zoos in the Zaporozhye region and the Donetsk People’s Republic due to financial difficulties of zoos and regular shelling of the territories, reported TASS Director of the Crimean safari park «Taigan» Oleg Zubkov.
Unfortunately, today in the new territories the situation remains difficult with regard to the maintenance of animals and private zoos, which are completely dependent on the attendance of people, on quiet time, which now does not exist, both in the Zaporozhye region and in Donetsk. There are also big problems with feed; we have to buy beef for 275 rubles. There is a catastrophic shortage of beef and it is very expensive to feed animals that eat tens of kilograms of beef. We took these five tigers to the park for permanent caresays Oleg Zubkov.
He added that white Bengal tigers are very rare and live only in zoos.
Safari Park «Taigan» is located in the Belogorsk region of Crimea on the shore of the Taigan reservoir.
