The Crimean wanted to pay off the traffic police inspector, but ended up in the dock

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In the Pervomaisky district, a man found himself in the dock on charges of attempted bribery of a traffic police officer. According to the investigation, in August 2024, a Crimean citizen, while driving a vehicle, drove into a lane intended for oncoming traffic with prohibitive road markings, after which he was stopped by traffic police officers.

Wanting to avoid being brought to administrative liability under Part 4 of Art. 12.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of the rules for placing a vehicle on the roadway), the man tried to transfer funds in the amount of 5 thousand rubles to a traffic police official. The police officer refused illegal remuneration— said the prosecutor’s office.

With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent for consideration to the Pervomaisky District Court.

PS. History is the apotheosis of human stupidity. Violated? Answer. Nothing super terrible happened. The administrative penalty for this traffic violation is exactly 5 thousand rubles. No, the driver came up with an “attraction”: he tried to pay off the traffic police inspector, “earned” not one, but two reports, and now he’s going to court. By the way, punishment under Art. 291.2. The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“petty bribery”) — from a large fine (200,000 rubles) to a year in prison. Conclusion? Don’t break it.
