Eight medals were won by the Crimean national team at the championship of the Southern Federal District in freestyle wrestling among young men under 16 years old. Competitions on February 28-March 2 were held at the Oirat-Arena in the capital of Kalmykia-Elista.

The winner of the championship in the weight category up to 52 kg was the Evpatoriyan Islam Najafov (coach — Zamir Avamilev).
