The cycle of publications «Victory in the Persons» — veteran of the Great Patriotic War Nina Potekhina

In 1942, at the age of 15, Nina Vladimirovna entered the service in the medical and sanitary battalion of the 248 regiment of the 31st rifle division. She took part in the forcing of the Dnieper, in the liberation of Ukraine, the Caucasus, Bulgaria, Romania, Yugoslavia.

Nina Vladimirovna met the victory in Austria in the city of Graz. She was awarded medals “For Courage”, “For the Victory of Germany”, as well as the medal “For Protection of the Republic of Crimea” in 2022 and many others.

After the war, Nina Vladimirovna worked in the library of the Research Institute of Medical Climatology and Climatotherapy named after THEM. Sechenov. Her husband Vasily Evdokimovich was the director of the school, and then — the head of the Crimean regional department of public education.

Sergei Aksyonov noted:

Together, Nina Vladimirovna and Vasily Evdokimovich contributed to the restoration and development of the country, to its further victories, to our common future. We will always be grateful for this to our expensive veterans.
