In the Kherson region, the liquidation of the consequences of the emergency situation caused by the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station by the Kiev regime and the subsequent flood in the lower reaches of the Dnieper continues successfully. According to the Acting Governor of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldr, 277 people were evacuated from the flood zone over the past day, more than 7.5 thousand since the start of the rescue operation, including 461 children and 146 people with limited mobility. 1,764 evacuees have been accommodated in temporary accommodation centers in Zhelezny Port, Skadovsk and Chaplinka.
93 people were hospitalized in medical institutions. Employees of the Ministry of Health of the Kherson region vaccinated 627 people evacuated from flooded areas. Unfortunately, the death toll in the flood has reached 18 people.
The water level continues to drop. In Aleshki, it is 0.1 meter, in Naked Pristan — 0.25 meters. In the area of Novaya Kakhovka, due to the proximity of the reservoir, it rests on the Dnieper at around 5 meters, however, in the territory of the Novokakhovka urban district, all houses are completely free from flooding. The pumping of water from the lower rooms of buildings, their drying with heat guns and special processing, garbage removal is actively going on. In the Aleshkinsky municipal district, 4.2% of houses were freed from water, in Golopristansky 2.9%— told Balance.
The interdepartmental grouping of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Defense of Russia began disinfection of the liberated territories.
Work on providing financial support is gaining momentum. Yesterday, the authorities of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Kherson region paid the first 630 citizens affected by the flood, 10 thousand rubles of one-time material assistance. We are still accepting applications for payments— said Vladimir Saldo.
According to the head of the region, the situation in the Kherson region is under the closest attention of the federal authorities. The whole of Russia is following the development of the situation, worries about the people of Kherson and helps them.
