According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea, since 2014, specialists from the neurosurgery department of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Republican Clinical Hospital named after. Semashko» mastered microsurgical interventions using an operating microscope for tumors of the brain and spinal cord, cerebral aneurysms, degenerative-dystrophic lesions of all parts of the spine. Surgical interventions have been introduced for various brain pathologies using intraoperative neuronavigation. Surgical interventions began to be carried out using endoscopic technologies and intraoperative frame stereotaxis. Doctors are able to remove brain and spinal cord tumors with intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring. In recent years, the first surgical interventions have been performed for drug-resistant epilepsy, as well as for the installation of a flow-directing stent for cerebral aneurysms of complex localization.
