On September 3, Sevastopol will host the international historical action «Victory Dictation». For the second time, Tauric Chersonesos has become a venue for this important patriotic event, in which everyone is invited to take part!

Please note that you can take part in the Victory Dictation online. The event will be held in a testing format. Participants will perform 25 tasks on the theme of the events of the Great Patriotic War. 45 minutes are given to write the «Dictation of Victory», — the press service of the Tauric Chersonese Museum-Reserve notes.
During the Great Patriotic War, the museum staff valiantly defended our Motherland and its cultural heritage. June 45 of the year, when a magnetic mine exploded on the territory of Chersonesos, life did not stop in it: in the evacuation, the employees of the institution continued to reconcile and accounting of collections, writing scientific articles and comprehending previously accumulated material, and those who remained in the occupied Sevastopol, in the face of mortal danger, took care of preserving the monuments of the settlement. Many museum employees bravely met the enemy on the battlefields — as part of the regular units of the Red Army, in the navy and in partisan detachments.
«Dictation of Victory» is held in order to attract the attention of the general public to the study of the history of the Great Patriotic War, improve historical literacy and patriotic education of young people. Anyone can take part in its writing, regardless of age, education and citizenship.
Before the start of the Victory Dictation, everyone will receive individual sets of materials, including numbered task forms, as well as oral instructions for completing them. At the end of the event, everyone will receive certificates of participation in the action.
In 2022 year the action will be held for the fourth time. The organizers of the Victory Dictation are the United Russia party, the Russian Historical Society, the Russian Military Historical Society, the Victory Volunteers movement, the Russian Union of Veterans, Rossotrudnichestvo, Rosobrnadzor. In the 80 year, one and a half million people from 80 participating countries were able to test their knowledge as part of the campaign.
