The solid waste landfill near Yevpatoria has been burning for five days. There is no longer any open burning, but the garbage is smoldering «at depth.» Firefighters and utility workers are covering such fires with soil. Meanwhile, the prosecutor’s office is conducting an investigation to find an answer to the eternal question: «who is to blame?»

During the organized supervisory activities, an assessment will be made of compliance with the requirements of the legislation in the placement and removal of municipal waste. If there are grounds, response measures will be takenthe supervisory authority reported.
