The effect of «paired cases»? Three thefts in the same building market of Sevastopol: «taken away» perforators
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A series of similar thefts was stopped by employees of the Sevastopol department of the private security of the Russian Guard. It was established that each time the offenders targeted certain expensive power tools — rotary hammers.
The day before, information was received from a building materials supermarket in the Nakhimovsky district of Sevastopol about a triggered «alarm» alarm. At the scene of the incident, the National Guard noticed a man running away from the store’s security guards and helped to detain him. As the patrol officers found out, this citizen first looked at the goods on the shelves in the trading floor for a long time, and then, having chosen a puncher, and, making sure that there were no witnesses, he hid the vending tool under a voluminous jacket. Further, the attacker went through the checkout area of the store without paying for the puncher, from which he prudently tore off the device that protects against criminal encroachments. The National Guard handed over to the police a 24-year-old local resident who had been repeatedly convicted of theft. The damage caused by his actions is estimated at more than 13 thousand rubles, — the press service of the department notes.
It is noteworthy that exactly the same theft took place in this supermarket earlier, but it was not immediately discovered: store employees, after watching the video recordings of surveillance cameras, noticed how an unknown man was taking from the window a puncher of one of the popular brands worth more than 13 thousand rubles. Later it became known that this tool was handed over to a pawnshop.
Two days after the arrest of the first intruder, an outfit of the detention group of the private security department was again called to the same construction supermarket. At the scene, officers of the Russian Guard detained a 22-year-old resident of Sevastopol. And again, the perforator became the subject of the theft. Third one this week.
All those suspected of misappropriation of expensive tools were handed over to the police for further investigation.
