CrimeaPRESS reports:
City Hospital No. 1 is one of the oldest hospitals in Sevastopol and its staff every time proves that mercy, courage and fidelity to duty are stronger than any test.
On this day, the department’s staff was congratulated on the anniversary by the Deputy Governor of Sevastopol, Igor Mikheev. On behalf of the governor, he expressed gratitude to the department staff for the work done and presented certificates and gratitude.
Your work knows no holidays or weekends; it requires enormous strength, great patience, courage and kindness. But the result of your daily work — lives saved — justifies all the efforts. You and I have common goals — to ensure comfort, safety and health for all residents– quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Igor Mikheev.
Sevastopol City Hospital No. 1 employs the best specialists: surgeons, oncologists, ophthalmologists, cardiologists, but each of them begins their work only after the doctors in the emergency department have separated the flows between planned and emergency patients. It is through the emergency department that all patients in need of medical care pass through.
Our department is an integral part of the city’s medical infrastructure. We are the face of City Hospital No. 1 and do our best to provide quality medical care and take care of the health of the population. There is a colossal responsibility on our shoulders, because a lot depends on the efficiency of our work. Emergency department specialists help thousands of patients around the clock, 365 days a yearsays Shushanna Balasanyan, head of the admissions department of City Hospital No. 1.
According to archival data, in October 1879, on the Korabelnaya side, due to the emergence of cases of fever, the City Hospital was expanded by adding 15 beds and creating a reception area for incoming patients. It was from this moment that the multifaceted, varied work of specialists began, who to this day are able to do all their work in multitasking mode.
I always say that the main capital of any department is not equipment. The main capital is always specialists. Fortunately, the emergency department employs brilliant doctors and staff who have dedicated half their lives to their worknotes Director of the Department of Health Vitaly Denisov.
Today there are 77 employees working here, including 12 doctors, two paramedics, 16 nurses, 28 orderlies, 11 medical registrars, four operators and four disinfectants. Every day, up to 200 people a day can visit the emergency department, and if you count how much needs to be done for one patient, it becomes clear that only professionals in their field work here, there are no random people here.
