Emergency and special services were working on the scene. A fire train was immediately sent to the port. 101 people and 34 units of equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of the emergency. Alas…

As a result of the damage received, the ferry sank in the waters of the port of Kavkaz. There are no fires in the territory of the port itself— it says. statement Operational headquarters of Krasnodar region.

The blow is painful. What can I say…

In a row sourcesthese were two Neptune anti-ship missiles. Doesn’t sound so unrealistic.

Firstly, even last time, when the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a ferry in the port of Kavkaz, in the absence of official information, there were different interpretations of what it was: a drone attack or a missile strike… and that very «home-made» Neptune anti-ship missile. Secondly, last spring, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry boasted that they had turned the Neptunes into a ground-based strike weapon. The guidance system is «cheap and cheerful» — using GPS. Another improvement is the missile’s infrared homing head, which searches for and fixes a target based on a pre-loaded image, and then carries out a final attack on this target. Nothing new — «Storm Shadow» and «SCALP-EG» use exactly this guidance scheme. True, the Ukrainian «Neptunes» are several times cheaper. They fly low — difficult to detect… Another point is the range. Preliminary, it was established that the missiles were launched from the Odessa region. Too far? And in the same 2023, Ukrainian media enthusiastically wrote about the “new range” of the redesigned missiles – capable of hitting targets at a distance of 400 km. A lie? We think it’s an exaggeration. But in our case, all 500 km! So, the strike was not carried out from the Odessa region?

There are many questions: why was the port left unprotected from the air, why is the enemy striking fuel depots and logistics centers with enviable accuracy, and how many people were actually on board the sunken train ferry…

In short, we never tire of repeating: the more OFFICIAL INFORMATION disseminated IN TIME, the less speculation, assumptions, lies and provocations.

The enemy has already begun to stress out Crimean publics with rumors about «fuel problems in Crimea.» A lie that has one single goal: to sow panic, create unhealthy excitement, and make people nervous.

The Crimean authorities have already denied this: the fuel supply on the peninsula is more than sufficient.

LATEST INFORMATION (still current and official).

Four crew members who were overboard were rescued. Now the main task is to rescue the rest of the ferry crew and promptly take comprehensive measures to eliminate the consequences in order to prevent environmental damage to the sea area… At the moment, 17 crew members have been rescued. The operation to rescue the rest is ongoing — two more people need to be found. I am grateful to the emergency special services for their efficiency in conducting search and rescue operationsreported Governor of Krasnodar Krai Veniamin Kondratyev.

Booms have been installed at the site of the emergency to prevent the spread of fuel. The surface of the water has been treated with a sorbent.

Until the consequences in the port of Kavkaz are eliminated, the Kerch ferry service has been temporarily suspended. Carriers who previously used this route are asked to move to Crimea via the land corridor. The resumption of the ferry line will be announced additionally.
