The enemy tried to attack Crimea with missiles
CrimeaPRESS reports:
This material was ready for publication the day before, but we were waiting for official information from the Russian Ministry of Defense. As such full message the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attempt to attack Crimea with missiles was never published. But there is official information. However, first things first.
So, drone from the day before yesterday, indeed, was a scout. Yesterday (Friday, March 1) the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Crimea with missiles.
Moreover, not only the western coast of the peninsula was exposed to the danger of such a massive attack. Traffic on the Crimean Bridge, through the Dzhankoy checkpoint, was stopped for some time. In Evpatoria and Sevastopol, the work of the air defense was confirmed (the call NOT TO REMOVE the work of the air defense, it seems, was heard by everyone this time).
Smoke in the area of the internal roadstead, Sevastopol and Southern bays — this is the military using standard means of camouflage. Operational city services do not record any damage to infrastructure in Sevastopol. Stay calm and trust only official information— the governor of Sevastopol reassured the townspeople.
However, an assessment of the performance of our air defense systems gives ideal peace of mind. All air targets were shot down. There were no “arrivals” in Crimea yesterday.
In Telegram channels they already give analysis missile attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Crimea and Sevastopol. Conclusions:
— the enemy prepared this attack in advance, preparations were carried out for two weeks,
— Ukrainian Armed Forces aviation relocated to several bases to divert attention,
— NATO reconnaissance aircraft became active over the Black Sea,
— it was a complex attack using Storm Shadow cruise missiles and decoys.
At about 14:00, six Su-24M bombers and three MiG-29 fighters took off from the airbases of Kanatovo, Mirgorod, Starokonstantinov and Martynovskoye. The first wave of launches was carried out using the ADM-160 MALD — apparently with the aim of diverting the attention of air defense systems. This was followed by combined launches of Storm Shadow cruise missiles and decoy missiles. Missile launches by enemy fighters and bombers were carried out from the southeastern part of the Nikolaev region— quote from the analysis of the situation.
Specialists of the Telegram channel «Fisherman» emphasize an important detail. The main target of this attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine was our military airfields “Belbek” and “Gvardeyskoye” (and yes, of course, to interrupt the news feed in the wake of the defeat at Avdeevka).
The missiles were heading to the Belbek and Gvardeyskoye airfields. One of the targets was shot down near Chernomorskoye, another in the Kachi area. Two targets were intercepted on approach to Gvardeyskoye, and the third, after firing at it from an air defense missile system, fell on the airfield. It is curious that another air target flying towards Crimea strayed from its original course. According to «Two Majors»instead of the peninsula, she flew in the direction of Turkey, and what happened to her after is unclear.
And only after that, two ballistic missiles were fired from the Tuzlov region in the Odessa region towards the Tendrovskaya Spit. Apparently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces wanted to hit the positions of the Russian Armed Forces, which repelled the inglorious attack of the Special Forces the other day. But since S-200s, whose accuracy is extremely low, were most likely used for the attack, the missiles probably fell into the water, writes Rybar.
It is interesting that in Telegram channels and messages from military correspondents there were from 10 to 12 downed enemy missiles… But officially the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (today) gives such information:
During the day, air defense systems shot down five Storm Shadow cruise missiles, as well as seven HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.
As we understand it, about Crimea it means “five downed missiles.”
