Holiday season. As a result of increased attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Crimea and damage to the Crimean bridge, the information space has become an arena for an information war aimed at confronting Russia. According to the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinovone of the goals of the enemy is to disrupt the holiday season on the peninsula.
Propagandists, who are actually information saboteurs, are inflating the topic of the end of the holiday season and the massive rejection of previously booked vacation spots, as well as a decrease in passenger traffic. Sometimes even the Russian media pick up this topic, which only aggravates the situation.
However, official data refute panic sentiment. As of July 18, there were no mass cancellations of reservations for rest and recuperation in the Republic of Crimea after the emergency on the Crimean bridge. The share of canceled tours is less than 10% of the total number of previously booked tours.
For some regions of Crimea, such as Kerch, the percentage of canceled bookings was 20.7%. At the same time, in neighboring Feodosia, out of 34 operating accommodation facilities, 18 do not have a single tour cancellation.
It is clear that the situation with the rest of children in children’s health camps causes the greatest concern. For example, in the Bakhchisaray district, the reservation for the rehabilitation of 50 children from St. Petersburg was cancelled. But there are also applications for the restoration of previously canceled reservations.
However, despite the tense situation, the situation is not at all as critical as our enemies try to present it. This is confirmed by the ongoing excitement on the roads leading to the Crimea.
As a result, each individual tourist has the right to independently decide whether he should go to Crimea in the current situation. However, those who choose our peninsula for recreation, Crimean organizations will be happy and will do everything possible for their comfortable and varied vacation, sums up Vladimir Konstantinov.
