The Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, Alime Zaredinova, announced that the essential oil rose harvesting campaign had begun in Crimea.

In the Republic of Crimea, essential oil rose grows in the Bakhchisarai, Belogorsk districts and the city of Alushta. The leader in the production of essential oil roses is the Bakhchisarai region. The area of ​​essential oil rose plantings is more than 30 hectares. The gross harvest of essential oil rose petals last year was about 72 tons. For 2024, the total amount of subsidies for the development of the essential oil industry of the republic amounted to 12 million rubles,” the press service quotes the acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea.
