The ex-head of the Ministry of Emergencies of Crimea was sentenced to 5.5 years in a colony in the case of bribes

On August 5, 2024, the head of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Crimea Sadakalev, who headed the ministry since 2021, wrote a letter of resignation of his own free will. He was later arrested by the Kyiv district court under part 1 of Art. 283.2 (violation of the requirements for the protection of state secrets), paragraph «E» of Part 3 of Art. 286 (excess of official authority from selfish or other personal interest) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The court sentenced the defendant in the form of five years and six months in a maximum security colony and a fine of 1.75 million rubles under Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe) based on the materials of the Office of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea. He concluded a pre -trial agreement with the investigation, ”said the interlocutor of the agency.
The court also forbade Sadaccaliev for seven years to occupy leadership positions. At the same time, Sadakakakheev is still defendants in two criminal cases of violation of the requirements for the protection of GOSTain and abuse of authority.
