This exhibition is already the fourth in the last year. It is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Botanical Garden. This is one of the elements of celebration. Another exhibition is being held in order to attract interest in the Botanical Garden, from the point of view of artists to see what it looks like, — said the head of the scientific department of the Botanical Garden named after N.V. Bagrova KFU Irina Savushkina.
Paintings and graphics are dedicated to the Botanical Garden in different seasons. The works were created in the open air as part of the university’s cooperation with the Crimean branch of the Union of Artists of Russia.
The project began a year ago, in April 2023. Artists came to the Botanical Garden to capture different moments taking place there. These are spring flowering, autumn and summer days. Even when it snowed, artists visited here. At the end of each season there were exhibitions. As a result, the best works were selected and presented heresaid Maria Shevchuk, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
In total, the exhibition presents 62 works by more than 40 creators from Crimea and Sevastopol.
The exhibition will last until the end of the academic year. In the future, reproductions of these works, as well as photographs of the Botanical Garden of the Crimean Federal University, will be collected in a common album.
