CrimeaPRESS reports:
On September 2, within the framework of the XIII Slavic Forum of Fine Arts (SFII) «Golden Knight», an exhibition of Honored Artist of Russia S. N. Syukhin was opened in the small hall of the Byzantine exposition of the museum-reserve. It will be possible to make a trip from the White to the Black Sea in Chersonese until October 1. The author of the exhibition is an outstanding painter, graphic artist, Honored Artist of Russia, honorary member of the Lomonosov Foundation, member of the Council for Culture of the city of Arkhangelsk, laureate of the M.V. Lomonosov Prize and gold medalist of the Slavic Fine Arts Forum «Golden Knight — 2016». Sergei Nikandrovich has dozens of solo exhibitions in Russia, Norway, Germany and other countries. In a world full of the beauty of nature, he portrays the heroes of Russian fairy tales, for which he is often called the artist of Lukomorye.
For the fifth time in the small hall of the Byzantine exposition of Tauric Chersonesos, we are holding exhibitions within the framework of the Golden Knight Slavic Fine Arts Forum. «From the White to the Black Sea» is of great interest from an artistic point of view, as the author’s works use a complex technique of monochrome and color lithography. This exposition is aimed at strengthening the spiritual and moral values of Russian society , ‒ Pavel Nikolayevich Khlebovsky, head of the exposition and exhibition sector of the museum-reserve, said at the opening.
Deputy Director of the SFII «Golden Vityaz», Natalia Nikolaevna Polukarova, in her speech noted:
First of all, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Tauric Chersonese Museum-Reserve and its director, Elena Alexandrovna Morozova, for hosting us here every year, in this blessed place. We are very pleased that such artists as Sergey Syukhin come to us. This is a great graphic artist, sculptor and illustrator who can tell a lot about such a harsh region as the Arkhangelsk region and Pomorye.
The author of the exhibition himself, the artist Sergei Nikandrovich Syukhin, at the opening ceremony presented the museum-reserve with an album with his works and said:
My task is to acquaint the Black Sea with the spirit of our White Sea. This exhibition shows the whole life of the Russian North. Of course, our people are a little different, the colors are a little different — delicate, mother-of-pearl, pastel. I hope that the people of Sevastopol will see the soul of a Russian peasant in my works.
After viewing the exhibition «From the White to the Black Sea», you will be able to get acquainted with the traditions and culture of the region, known for the harsh beauty of nature, monuments of wooden architecture and spiritual centers. The works of S. N. Syukhin presented in Chersonese — easel graphics, illustrations for fairy tales and works of northern writers, showing the life of the local population — will not leave anyone indifferent. We invite everyone from September 2 to October 1 2022 to visit the new exhibition of the museum-reserve to get acquainted with the amazing works of the Arkhangelsk artist and take part in the XIII Slavic Forum of Fine Arts «Golden Knight» , — noted in the press service of the museum-reserve.
