The exhibition «History of the Sudak fortress in coins of the XI — XVIII century» is presented

A specialist in museum and expositional activities of the institution Tatyana Konova presented a numismatic collection from the museum funds.
A coin is not just a monetary sign, it carries history, culture and traditions. She can tell about the great civilizations, their development and interaction with each other.
In the windows, the coins of the Byzantine Empire (X-XI centuries), Kievan Rus (XI-XII centuries), Trapezund Empire (XIII-XIV centuries), Thessalonik Empire (XIII centuries), the Koniysky Sultanate (XIV century), Egypt (XIV century), the states of the state, the states of the states are represented. Hulaguids (XIV century), the Golden Horde (XIII-XIV centuries), Genoese colonies (XVV.), Crimean Khanate (XV-XVIII centuries), Ottoman Empire (XV-XVI centuries), coins of Germany (XVIII century) and Austria (1816), the Russian Empire (XVII-XVIIII BB.), which indicate that Sudak was the center of interweaving of trade nodes connecting various peoples and cultures.
The exhibition will last until April 30.
