CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Museum of the History and Culture of the Crimean Tatars of the Bakhchisaray Museum-Reserve presented the exhibition «Khan’s Palace — Open Air Museum».
The exhibition introduces the history of the city of Bakhchisaray, the Khan’s Palace and its inhabitants.
The showcases show stylized interiors of craft workshops, a student class, and living quarters of the palace. Finds discovered during archaeological research and restoration work on the territory of the Khan’s Palace are shown: elements of decorative hemming of the roof, tiles, fragments of pottery pipes and ceramic floor tiles, a fragment of a marble slab, forged nails, fragments of plaster with paintings, as well as a copy of a stained glass window , — says the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
Palace buildings, a large Khan’s mosque, a family cemetery of the rulers of the Crimean Khanate, archeological objects, numerous fountains, parks and gardens — an overview display of the entire complex of the Khan’s Palace, combined with a display of objects in showcase windows, will help museum visitors to immerse themselves in the historical past.
The exhibition is available for visiting until 20 December.
