The opening of the exhibition “My Family – My Russia” took place at the Sevastopol Children’s Art School. This unique event brought together the works of young artists in the Design direction, the themes of which are dedicated to the diversity of the peoples of Russia, their cultures, traditions and crafts. The event is timed to coincide with the Day of National Unity and the Year of the Family.
We are glad that our school often hosts exhibitions that we are proud of! Each painting is a work of art. It’s so interesting to look at them, to think about what attracted the author more to this topic. These works, dedicated to National Unity Day, open our large festive program, which will be held on November 4– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the Sevastopol Children’s Art School, Maria Kostevich.
The exhibition was the first in a series of events dedicated to National Unity Day and invites visitors to immerse themselves in the diverse world of Russian ethnic groups through the prism of children’s perception.
The guys have been working on the paintings since September. Each chose his own people, studied their way of life and proposed a composition from the material he had studied. In our “Design” direction we mainly work with graphics, closer to posters, which implies visual transformation,” notes teacher of the Sevastopol Children’s Art School Ekaterina Godunova.
The exhibition features 28 works of decorative graphics made by students under the strict guidance of teacher Ekaterina Godunova. The works are united not only by theme, but also by a single style, which gives the exhibition integrity and harmony. The young authors tried to reflect in their paintings all the beauty and uniqueness of the cultural heritage of our multinational country. Each work interprets the concept of family and unity in its own way, clearly demonstrating how closely different traditions and customs are intertwined in the heart of each of us.
