The exhibition “The Most Beautiful Country” opened at the Artek International Children's Center
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Events at the Artek International Children’s Center introduce pupils to the program of the World Youth Festival, which is taking place these days in Sochi. Artek residents can also plunge into similar events. Thus, the exhibition “The Most Beautiful Country” from the Russian Geographical Society opened in “Suuk-Su”.
The exhibition’s exposition consists of works by the winners of the «Most Beautiful Country» competition and will allow young viewers to make an exciting journey throughout Russia, to see hard-to-reach places, for example, the ice of the Arctic and the Putorana Plateau.
Our thematic partner, the Russian Geographical Society, is holding this exhibition at the World Youth Festival in Sochi. And in honor of this event, we asked our partners to bring part of this exhibition to us, so that Artek residents could get to know Russia through photography, and the children would have the feeling that they, together with all of Russia, are at the World Youth Festival in Sochi. The exhibition is very interesting, lively, it shows how diverse our Russia is,” explained Tatyana Makarova, head of the “Time of Your Choice” program.
The opening of the exhibition took place in the format of a performance. As the organizers noted, this format will help draw the attention of Artek residents to the fact that loving Russia means being able to see its beauty. 23 thousand people — professionals and amateurs — sent about 110 thousand works to the competition, which were evaluated by an expert commission.
Not everyone can get to the amazing and protected places of the country, but through photography the children were able to see how unique and beautiful Russia is. A country with eleven time zones, five natural zones and 130 thousand species of animals has become an inexhaustible source of inspiration not only for photographers, but for young visitors to the exhibition.
I liked the exhibition, I was impressed by the scale of our country and the fact that people living in such different parts of our country equally know how to see beauty and find beauty in everything– shared Elizaveta Zubareva, Moscow.
I liked this exhibition because it shows the beauty of our country. No matter where we are in our country, in Kamchatka, the Caucasus, Sakhalin, we feel that this is our country, and we can be proud of it— said Matvey Kapitonov, Sevastopol.
