CrimeaPRESS reports:

A meeting of the Export Council under the Governor of Sevastopol took place. Council members summed up the results of work in the 2022 year and discussed the action plan for the 2023-st.

In comparison with 2021 year, the export of Sevastopol in the current year increased by 8.7%. In many ways, this was facilitated by state support measures provided at the federal and regional levels. Interest in cooperation with our enterprises is growing, and a number of events are planned for this next year. In the international block, it is planned to focus on the CIS countries, especially the Republic of Belarus, as well as on the countries of Africa and the Middle East , — said Vice Governor Maria Litovko.

According to her, in 2023 events are planned with the Republic of Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and a number of other African countries.

The foreign trade turnover of the city of Sevastopol according to the customs statistics of foreign trade, taking into account the data of mutual trade 2022 of the year, amounted to 537 million rubles. Export of goods — 253 million rubles. The share of imports in the foreign trade turnover amounted to 284 million rubles , — said Denis Profatilov, director of the Department of Economic Development of Sevastopol.

In December 2022 of the year, the regional acceleration program «Export Impulse» was launched in Sevastopol. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to carry out intensive training and the formation of an individual export plan for small and medium-sized businesses using all the tools of the Export Support Center.

The goal of the program is to speed up export-oriented small and medium-sized businesses in Sevastopol through the formation of a systematic approach to structuring the expert project. The result will be an export contract concluded by the program participant , — said Elena Stoyanova, deputy director of the non-profit organization Sevastopol Fund for Entrepreneurship Support, during the meeting.

Recall that the main tasks of the Export Council are to develop proposals and take into account the interests of the business community, as well as create favorable conditions for the implementation of measures aimed at the strategic development of Sevastopol in the field of export activities.
