The Export Support Center helps Sevastopol entrepreneurs develop foreign markets
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, 16 entrepreneurs signed export contracts thanks to state support. They used the service for finding foreign partners, which is provided by the Export Support Center.
The government of Sevastopol is interested in expanding and strengthening partnerships with friendly countries. Last year, as part of an official visit to the Republic of Belarus, we signed an agreement with the Minsk City Executive Committee. Already this year, a delegation from Sevastopol visited Tajikistan, where they discussed promising areas of interaction between the businesses of both countries. Also, our entrepreneurs enter the foreign market through the Export Support Center. This once again proves that sanctions are not an obstacle to business development in Sevastopol— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the department of economic development of Sevastopol Denis Profatilov.
Through the Export Support Center, operating in the My Business center, Sevastopol entrepreneurs signed contracts with partners from Kazakhstan, Belarus, China, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Kyrgyzstan. Fish, in particular anchovy, fruits and vegetables, herbal teas based on stevia, and cosmetics have become popular products for foreign economic activity.
The search for potential partners for local entrepreneurs is carried out as part of the Export Support Center service, which is provided on the basis of co-financing — the entrepreneur pays 20% of the cost of providing the service. Every year the number of applicants is growing. At the moment, Kazakhstan and Belarus, which are member countries of the EAEU, are the most popular and interesting destinations for small and medium-sized businesses, we also plan to expand destinations and enter the markets of African countries— said the director of the center «My Business» Natalia Borisova.
The partner search service is provided within the framework of the national project «Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Entrepreneurial Initiatives». It includes the formation of a commercial offer for potential foreign buyers, the creation of a website in a foreign language, the translation of presentation materials into English or other languages of potential partners, the search and selection of buyers, support of the negotiation process, sending trial products.
For businessman Nikolai Zlenko, who is engaged in the production of spices, the Export Support Center of Sevastopol found a buyer for products in Kazakhstan in just a week.
Last year, with the support of the Export Support Center, our company managed to export about 20 tons of coriander. A week after contacting the My Business center, they found a potential buyer, agreed on prices and sent the first batch to Kazakhstan. Subsequently, spices were sent twice more. This year we also applied for the service of finding a foreign partner, we are negotiating with an entrepreneur from the UAE— Nikolai Zlenko emphasizes.
The Sevastopol Export Support Center provided services to 287 entrepreneurs in 2022. The most popular of them are the search for a foreign partner, participation in business missions and international exhibitions. In the near future, entrepreneurs of the region will present their products at three exhibitions in Moscow and Sochi.
