The Armyansk prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a resident of the region and his partner. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, they were found guilty under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft), part 2 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery).

As established in court, in August 2023, a man and a woman arrived at one of the chain stores, from where they stole a shopping cart and food products, causing damage to a legal entity in the amount of more than 4 thousand rubles.

In addition, on October 6, 2023, the defendants attacked a passerby in the area of ​​Ivanishcheva Street in the city of Armyansk. The man threw a jacket over the victim’s head, grabbed and held him. The victim, fearing further violence, indicated the place where the money was, after which the woman stole the 8 thousand rubles he had on him. At the court hearing, the defendants pleaded guilty to the crimes.— said the prosecutor’s office.

The court openly took pity on the unlucky “Bonnie and Clyde” and sentenced the defendant to 1 year and 6 months, and his partner to 1 year and 3 months in prison. The sentences were suspended with a probationary period of 1 year for each. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
