At the Heroic Defense Memorial 1941-1942 Sevastopol Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozheev and the chairman of the South-Western Bank of Sberbank Anatoly Pesennikov took part in the ceremony of taking particles of the eternal fire and launched a large-scale federal project of Sberban, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
The 80th anniversary of Victory is the most important date for each of the Sevastopol residents. Today we have taken another step in perpetuating the feat of the heroes of the defense of Sevastopol and all participants in the Great Patriotic War. We are conducting this work in the hero city comprehensively and all year. And the more such shares and initiatives will be, the better. Today’s event brings an important idea of combining 9 particles of eternal lights from all heroes of our country. Such large -scale actions help the unconditional preservation of the historical memory of all multinational Russia. We appreciate that such a socially responsible business as Sberus helps to maintain memory through generations throughout the country,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Mikhail Pravozhaev.
The flame from the eternal fire of the Heroic Defense Memorial of 1941-1942 merges with particles of the eternal fire of other heroes of our country and together they will light the flame near the memorial to the soldiers of the 4th division of the People’s Militia near the village of Shchekutino in the Moscow region. This division was formed in 1941: it included employees of the financial sector, employees of Sberburchuted. Sber is patronizing the memorial since 2015.
In Sevastopol, today we were the first in Russia to launch a series of solemn ceremonies of the transfer of the Eternal Flame particle from 9 hero cities as part of the Sberban project to preserve the memory of the Great Victory-“Fire of Memory”. Today, two more southern hero cities joined us: Kerch and Novorossiysk. A few days later, Sberic Sberbank will deliver the Sevastopol particle to the near Moscow memorial near the village of Shchekino. There, particles of fire will unite in one “fire of memory” in order to give the employees of the financial sphere who participated in the defense of the capital of our homeland. We will take our particle of eternal flame on vehicles. In the coming days, 6 more heroes-heroes will join the shares of the transfer of eternal particles: Volgograd, Smolensk, Tula, Murmansk, St. Petersburg and Moscow. All particles will be delivered to the memorial in the village of village near Moscow on Sberbank’s personalized collection vehicles-in honor of every hero city. Here, on April 24, with the participation of veterans in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the “fire of memory” will be lit for the first time.
