On International Children’s Day, the Festival of Childhood and Youth was held throughout the country. The main platform of the “Movement of the First” festival was the exhibition-forum “Russia”, and in Sevastopol the events were held on the basis of the Quantorium technology park, which was the first in the country to join the “Movement of the First” among the circles of the National Technology Initiative.
The festival in the Hero City brought together about 500 schoolchildren, students and parents. A useful program was carried out in 12 areas dedicated to education, patriotism, culture, profession, science, healthy lifestyle and other areas.
The main theme of the holiday was the dream and the opportunity for every child in Russia to realize it in our country — the land of opportunities. Master classes and lectures were dedicated to hard work, which turns dreams into real achievements.
18 children were able to make their dream come true with the “Movement of the First” at the festival; they received their first passport as a Russian citizen. The campaign “We are citizens of Russia!” held at the opening ceremony of the festival.
The First Movement holds various events for children throughout the country, and Sevastopol has become one of the sites for a large children’s holiday. The First Movements festival is aimed at uniting children and adults and their joint activities. This is a community for Russian residents of all ages, the key value of which is to create together with children, and not instead of them. The organizers prepared not only an entertainment program together with partners, but also conducted useful lectures and master classes.
Every child is a dreamer, and he is already the first. In the movement, we reveal the talents of each activist: someone sings or dances beautifully, is interested in photography or loves scientific activities. At the festival, we brought together all the activists who participated and won in all-Russian competitions and tournaments, so that the participants could get acquainted with all areas of our organization and find something to their liking– notes the chairman of the board of the regional branch of the “Movement of the First” Anna Molchanova.
The forum events were also supported by the branch of the Knowledge Society in Sevastopol. As part of the interactive forum, lecturers from the public organization gave lectures on current topics to the audience. For example, representatives of the Sevastopol TV and Radio Company introduced the forum participants to VK clips and told them how to film them so that the video would gain views. The participants who attended Irene Andrutskaya’s lecture became acquainted with the basics of public speaking.
The Sevastopol TV and Radio Company joined the festival not only as an information partner, but also held lectures for participants of the big event. I am sure that the knowledge that the children received in our educational blocks will be able to be put into practice at the regional media center of the First Movement.says Daria Kotrova, head of the social media department at the Sevastopol TV and Radio Company.
At the festival, activists were able to write letters to the participants of the special operation and take part in weaving camouflage nets. Representatives of the Sevastopol City Election Commission introduced the children to the election procedure. The most active ones tried themselves in sports relay races, riding a unicycle and an electric scooter. The staff of the Fedyukhin Heights living history park helped us immerse ourselves in the history of our native land, who presented an exhibition dedicated to the period of the first defense of Sevastopol.
One of the activities of the First Movement is the formation of a parent community. A session was held for teachers, mentors and parent activists on current issues of education in Sevastopol. It was held by representatives of the Public Chamber.
It is very important to hold events where the sites are organized not only for children, but also for adults. Today we discussed the development of the “Family and Loved Ones” community, whose members are already activists and their families,” notes Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of Sevastopol Denis Kondratyev.
Let us remind you that the Russian Movement of Children and Youth was formed by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, its founding meeting took place on July 20, 2022.
