The festival “Museum through the eyes of children” took place in Chersonesos

International Children’s Day at the museum-reserve was fun, tasty and interesting! From nine o’clock the boys and girls were exploring the territory of Tauride Chersonesus. They began their journey by visiting the ancient temples and defensive walls in the west of the site. Then the guys headed to the northern shore, where they completed several interesting tasks from the presenters. During the interactive excursion, the staff of the museum-reserve told the young guests about the activities of the inhabitants of the ancient city — agriculture, viticulture, trade and fishing, about their beliefs and traditions. Following the route indicated on the map, the guys moved towards the Port District. They completed various tasks, assembled puzzles and solved riddles. In the finale, the guys realized that the main treasure of Chersonesus is themselves, and received delicious ice cream as a gift! — note the press service of the Chersonese Tauride Museum-Reserve.

Then the guests of the museum-reserve went to a concert in the Byzantine courtyard. As part of the “City of Childhood” program, young artists from the Isadora dance school, the choreographic group “Courage” and the exemplary vocal group “The Little Prince” from the Fishermen’s Palace of Culture performed for them. And, of course, on this holiday, everyone was able to take part in the “Archaeological Sandbox” master class, paint sea stones or ceramic toys, and also make a cat from airy plasticine!

Ulyana, a participant in the interactive excursion, shared her impressions:

I really enjoyed the tour of the ancient city! There were a lot of fun tasks and at the end I was given ice cream! I also managed to watch a concert and take part in a master class on painting sea stones! It was great! Thanks for a great holiday!
