The fifth season of the Regional Tag Rugby Tournament opened in Sevastopol

The tag rugby tournament of the All-Russian competition among teams of educational organizations “Rugby School League” has started on the field of the sports and recreation complex named after the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol. This year, 41 teams from 17 educational organizations in the city are taking part.
Today is a special opening of the competition, because on this day all Sevastopol residents celebrate a holiday — Anthem Day. From the Sevastopol Sports Administration, I congratulate everyone on this wonderful holiday; this year our anthem is 70 years old. And it’s very pleasing that we see so many athletes on the field, we see in them the excitement and desire to quickly break into the game— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the deputy head of the sports department Ivan Bulakh.
Competitions are held among four age categories — 2010-2011, 2012-2013, 2014-2015, 2016-2017 year of birth. Also at the opening, the Chernomorets sports club performed a dance performance led by Lyana Lisitsa.
I’m glad to see so many boys and girls here who are involved in this dynamic, vibrant, interesting game of tag rugby. I wish all participants to get maximum pleasure from the game, may the strongest win, because it is the strongest who will represent our Hero City Sevastopol at the All-Russian competitions,” notes the director of the Sevastopol City Rugby Federation Natalya Samoilenko.
The organizer of the competition is the Regional physical culture and sports public organization «Sevastopol City Rugby Federation» with the support of the Government of the city of Sevastopol, the Sevastopol Sports Department, the Department of Science and Education of Sevastopol, represented by the resource center «Sevastopol Center for Tourism, Local History, Sports and Excursions for Students» and » City Center for Social Sports Programs of Sevastopol.”
