The final of the art song competition “Russian Crimea is Singing” took place in Simferopol

The author’s song competition «Russian Crimea is Singing» is held by the non-profit organization «Musical Author’s Union» with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

On the stage of the concert hall of the House of Officers, 50 finalists from all over Crimea will compete for victory. In total, about 200 applications were received for the competition. In total, more than 100 musicians and vocalists took to the stage, including both professional and amateur musicians.

Opening the competition, a representative of the organization, general producer of ANO «MAS», singer and composer Lidiya Adelshinova greeted the finalists, wishing them all good luck, introduced everyone to the jury and said:

The music of the Crimeans is the quintessence of the multinational Crimean people, their soul, emotions and images. Ten years have passed since Crimea returned to Russia. Much has changed in the lives of Crimeans for the better, and the art song competition “Russian Crimea is Singing” is intended to show how musical creativity has developed in Crimea— this is what singer and composer Lidia Adelshinova, general producer of ANO “MAS” said about the competition.

The Grand Prix of the competition was awarded to the rock band “Abordazh” from the town. Primorsky Feodosia region for the poems by Dmitry Troitsky “Let’s Sit Until Dawn”.

The winner of the first degree was the group “Seven” (Evpatoria) with the song “Cosmos” by Vitaly Shchukin.

The second degree winner is a street musician from Feodosia, Alexandra Kiseleva, with her original song “Silence.”

The third place was shared by singer-songwriters Elena Timoshenkova (Chernomorskoe town) for her song “This is my country” and Nina Abakuntseva (creative pseudonym Nina Shevchuk) for her song “Was it Happening?”

It was very pleasant and responsible to feel like a member of the jury of the wonderful art song competition “Russian Crimea is Singing”. Being a member of the jury is an honor, but it is always a colossal responsibility. Thank you for the opportunity to participate as a member of the jury, as well as for the highly professional work in organizing and conducting the competition, your attentive and kind attitude!

I am sure that for many participants the competition will become one of the important steps in their creativity and will help them believe in themselves and their own strengths. The competition attracted talented participants from different parts of Crimea. Each of them put so much soul into their work, and understanding this, it was very difficult to evaluate them. With all my heart I wish the participants a real creative flight and convincing victories, and the competition itself longevity and prosperity!
