The final of the fourth season of “Big Break” for high school students will take place at the Artek MDC

From November 2 to 6, the Artek International Children’s Center will host the final of the All-Russian competition “Big Change” for schoolchildren in grades 8-10. 1,500 schoolchildren from all regions of Russia will undergo decisive competitive tests, following which the names of the winners will be announced. The event will take place as part of the All-Russian Forum “Be on the Move!”, which will unite 3,000 schoolchildren and representatives of local branches of the First Movement.

The “Big Change” competition is the flagship project of the First Movement. Its co-organizer is the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh). The competition is part of the “Russia – Land of Opportunities” presidential platform. “Big Change” is carried out with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The opening ceremony of the “Big Change” final will take place on November 2 at 20:00 on the territory of the Artek International Children’s Center.

The “Big Change” competition brings together millions of children from all over Russia. Here, at Artek, the finalists will create projects dedicated to Russia: they will demonstrate what a wonderful country we have, rich traditions and heroic history. We have something to be proud of! And we are proud of the guys — so talented, responsible and purposeful. They know how to dream and achieve goals, which means an amazing present and future awaits them. First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Movement of Firsts Natalia Mandrova recalled that the Artek International Children’s Center traditionally hosts the final of the “Big Break” for high school students.

This year the final is taking place as part of the All-Russian Forum “Be on the Move!”, and three thousand First Ones from different parts of the country will gather on the site. The children will get acquainted with the mission and values, directions and projects of the Movement, and also come up with their own initiatives. The flagship project of the Movement of the First — the All-Russian competition «Big Change» — has been selecting purposeful children who have proven themselves in a variety of fields for four seasons in a row. And most importantly, they can further help new participants in the Movement in realizing their ideas and achieving new heightsshe says.

The main theme of the fourth season of “Big Change” is “Proud of Russia.” During the distance stages of the competition and the in-person semi-finals, participants studied the history, traditions and culture of Russia, and also became acquainted with the achievements of outstanding compatriots.

In the final, high school students, united in interdisciplinary teams, will be able to propose ideas for realizing the potential of children and adolescents in various spheres of public life. Special attention will be paid to family values ​​and traditions, as well as co-creation between children and adults, caring for the family and joint activities of different generations. Participants will be able to develop concepts for all-Russian family forums and projects, as well as propose new formats for family time.

In addition to competitive tests, high school students will also enjoy a rich educational program with the participation of famous athletes, journalists and TV presenters, leaders of social and educational projects, specialists in a variety of industries: from entrepreneurship, industry and finance to creative industries, IT and media.

Closing ceremony of the final of the All-Russian competition “Big Change” for schoolchildren in grades 8-10 and the forum “Be on the Move!” will take place on November 6 at Artek Arena.

The winners and runners-up of the “Big Change” among schoolchildren in grades 8-10 will receive up to 1 million rubles. Also, teacher-mentors who trained the largest number of active participants in the “Big Change” will receive cash prizes, and schools and additional education organizations will receive grants in the amount of 2 million rubles for the development of the educational environment.

More than 3 million children, teenagers and mentors participated in the fourth season of Big Break.
