The final stage of the Regional Festival “Battle of Drones” was inaugurated on October 1 at Sevastopol State University. Especially for this day, the organizers and partners of the festival collected unique exhibits at the technology exhibition.
Startup studio «IT Garage», created on the basis of «IT PARK RUS», presented the «Wheelies» platform. Its goal is to become a convenient tool for controlling drones and robots from various manufacturers from one system.
Fuga Engineering LLC, a resident company of Sirius, presented its development — the unmanned vessel Fuga Tabula. It is a versatile electric water transport platform.
Aviation training center named after. Hero of the Soviet Union, Honored Test Pilot of the USSR, USSR Pilot-Cosmonaut Igor Petrovich Volk” was demonstrated by the VTOL-420 drone with a wingspan of 4.2 m, as well as the HF-350 drones.
ANO «Center for the Development of Human Capital» showed the equipment with which the finalists of the «Battle of the Drones» work — bionic robots, training vessels with manipulators, ground-based rovers, drones Bekas-700 and Bekas-2500.
At the ceremonial part, the organizers announced the distribution of finalists by track (“Earth”, “Water”, “Air”) and the composition of two areas of the competition — “Pilots’ League” and “League of Pilot Engineers”. Participants also learned the main task – the final mission of the “Battle of the Drones”.
The festival, organized by the Center for Human Capital Development with grant support from the First Movement, is being held in the city of Sevastopol for the first time. From May to September the project covered 10,679 Sevastopol schoolchildren and students. Career guidance games as part of the festival were held in schools, colleges, universities and additional education institutions. Participants got acquainted with various types of unmanned systems in an interactive format.
The educational stage of the festival was held online on the Lectorium platform. We coped with the task 314 Human. In August, the final testing took place, as a result of which we reached the finals 75 Human. These lucky students received universal training on unmanned systems in three tracks: «Earth», «Water» and «Air».
On the track «Water» participants were trained to operate an unmanned vessel with a robotic arm.
On the track «Earth» all groups were trained to control a bionic robotic dog, assemble rovers and pilot them.
On the track «Air» experts trained pilots in simulators and how to control drones in open space.
Further participation in the festival continues only 14 teams. Over the next 10 days, they will practice for the final mission.
