The fire of the All-Russian family hearth “Heart of Russia” was delivered to Sevastopol

Today the fire of the family hearth “Heart of Russia” was transferred to representatives of Sevastopol — it was brought to the Hero City by the Elizarov family.

Now the fire is stored in the registry office of the Leninsky district of Sevastopol and on February 3, as part of the grand opening of the Year of the Family in Sevastopol, it will be transferred to all registry offices of the city so that any couple who submits an application or registers a marriage can come up to it and take a piece, – the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The lighting ceremony of the All-Russian Family Hearth “Heart of Russia” became the main event of the beginning of the Year of the Family, which was launched by President Vladimir Putin.

The fire for the “Heart of Russia” was brought from the Holy Trinity Monastery in Murom, the birthplace of Saints Peter and Fevronia. The touching story of their pure love is one of the favorites in Russia. And it is on the Day of Saints Peter and Fevronia, July 8, that the whole country celebrates the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.

After the “Heart of Russia” was lit at the “Family – Loved Ones” forum, the fire was transferred from the hearth to 12 lamps — they are delivered to all federal districts and new regions, from where the fire is spread throughout the country. Another lamp was lit for the Russia exhibition.

The Elizarov family represented Sevastopol at the “Relatives — Loved Ones” forum and delivered the “Heart of Russia” fire to the Hero City.

This is a tradition that I think should be made annual — amazing feelings of kindness, warmth, joy, a sense of pride. Everyone says the words “family hearth” — and here it is, a symbol. This is the strength of the family, the strength of Russia. It is an honor to pass on a piece of it to young families; we are taking this family fire to our legendary, beloved city of Sevastopol,” emphasizes Alexander Elizarov.

Let us remind you that the All-Russian Family Forum “Relatives and Loved Ones” became the first official event of the Year of the Family in Russia. Representatives of family dynasties from 89 regions of the country, large families, families of special operation participants, and Heroes of Russia took part in the forum.
