“The first among the best” were awarded in Tauride Chersonesos

On October 5, Teacher’s Day, the results of a thematic online competition were summed up in Chersonesos. The authors of the most creative video greetings and the winners of the “First Among the Best” competition were students of the 10th “A” grade of school No. 58 and the 6th “A” grade of school No. 25.

The children were presented with memorable diplomas and thanks on behalf of the director of the museum-reserve, Elena Morozova. The main prize for winning the online competition was free tickets to the night excursion “The Light of Chersonese”! After sunset, Sevastopol schoolchildren set off on an exciting journey through the ancient city. In the light of the evening lights, they examined the curtains and towers of Chersonese Tauride, visited the Ancient Theater, the Mint, the Byzantine courtyard and, of course, the Basilica of 1935. The finale of the excursion was a multimedia show on the defensive walls. The schoolchildren were given an open-air film screening. From the documentary they learned about the history of Chersonese Tauride and about the people who forever changed its course.
