The first digital center will appear in Sevastopol: it is a unique sports infrastructure facility that combines an esports club and sports grounds. There will be equipped with VR zones, a computer zone, as well as a “smart” sports ground where you can play football, basketball and workout.
The key idea of phygital sports is to combine computer sports with the usual physical activity. It looks something like this: a football team plays the first half in a computer game, and the second half on the field. In this case, all the goals scored in the virtual and classic matches are summed up as a result. The opportunity to implement this project appeared thanks to a subsidy from the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation. We plan to build it before the end of the year on the street. The physical center will also include a medical room, locker rooms and other necessary infrastructure for sporting events.
The Department of Youth and Sports, on behalf of the head of the city, presented the project of the phygital center to the residents of the Gagarinsky district, deputies and representatives of the administration of the municipal district. The City Center for Social and Sports Programs of Sevastopol will be the customer for the placement of this unique sports facility.

So, in March 2024, Kazan will host a new high-tech international level tournament — the first in the history of the Games of the Future. The competition will bring together about two thousand participants, the expected number of views on streaming platforms is more than 150 million. International competitions will be held in 16 hybrid disciplines. Each of them embodies the concept of “phygital” (physical + digital), that is, it combines physical culture and e-sports or VR/AR technology, which means that it tests the skills of athletes in two still unrelated dimensions.
