The first Imperial Church History Museum was opened in Evpatoria

The first Imperial Church History Museum in Russia dedicated to the spiritual cooperation of the Romanov dynasty with the Russian Orthodox Church and other traditional denominations of Russia, as well as the history of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Yevpatoriya, opened in Evpatoria.
The solemn event was attended by First Deputy Head of the Crimean Parliament Yefim Fix, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture and Cultural Heritage Protection Nikolay Volkov, representatives of the clergy, the leadership of Evpatoria.
According to the First Vice Speaker of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, the opening of the Church History Museum is a major contribution to the development of morality and spirituality among the younger generation, understanding of the historical processes that took place in Crimea.
I am sure that the presented exposition will serve our common cause, aimed at fostering patriotism, respect for history and loyalty to historical truth.— emphasized Efim Fix.
He thanked the creators of the exhibition for the work done and wished everyone further success in such an important matter.
According to the press service of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, the opening of the museum is timed to coincide with the 410th anniversary of the Royal House of Romanovs, the 130th anniversary of the laying of St. Nicholas Cathedral, as well as the 25th anniversary of the traveling exhibition «The Imperial House of Romanovs: past and present.» Among the unique exhibits of the new museum: portraits of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers of Emperor Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra Feodorovna; reconstructed form of the Crimean cavalry regiment during the reign of the Emperors Alexander the First, Nicholas the First, Nicholas the Second; the original spiritual vestment of the clergy and hierarchy of the Russian Orthodox Church.
