The first physical sports center in Crimea will be built in the village of Perovo, Simferopol district.

The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, announced that the first multifunctional center for computer development and physical sports in the Crimea will be built in the village of Perovo, Simferopol region.

Sergei Aksyonov noted that since the center will be located in the suburbs of Simferopol, not only residents of the settlement, but also Simferopol residents will be able to visit it.

The facility will contribute to the development and popularization among Crimeans of innovative platforms that combine sports, technology and education,” added the Head of Crimea.

According to the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Crimea Olga Torubarova, the project is planned to begin next year.

The sports cluster in the village will combine the infrastructure for both classic sports and new sports that are actively developing in Russia,” Olga Torubarova clarified.

Phygital sports is a sport that includes new sports disciplines that combine classical and digital sports in the “phygital” format. Phygital sports is aimed at integrating innovative technologies into human life through the development of technological sports. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on holding the Games of the Future in Kazan in 2024.

In August 2023, Sergey Aksyonov signed a strategic agreement of intent for the development of sports infrastructure in the Republic of Crimea with the General Director of National Technologies LLC (part of the Ruselectronics holding of the Rostec state corporation) Konstantin Yunov.
